You have clothes that you love dearly but that are falling apart or just not the right size for you. You store too many of those in your closet and have no time and no patience to work on them yourself. You're tired of using pins to hold your clothes together. The neighborhood tailor store is not the right solution for you. And it's such a pain to find a new one in New York.

What I do
I put your old clothes back in shape for the new season, I alter your vintage finds that are a little too big, I give your thrift treasures new glamour. I make skirts way shorter and dresses tighter. I cut off sleeves. I find perfect buttons. I close holes and disguise stains. And a lot of other magic tricks with your clothes!

How I do it
I use my good old Kenmore and I sew by hand. I discuss every piece with you, make suggestions and decide with you what should/can be done. I accept single pieces as well as bigger closet loads. Either you bring them to my Lower East Side atelier or I come pick them up.

What I charge
Single pieces, depending on the alterations they need, are between $12-25. If you have a bigger load with some pieces that require a lot of work and others that are just missing a button or need to be rehemmed, send me a short description and I will make a price offer. I charge extra for buttons and vintage sewing materials. Pickup and delivery is $7 (only Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn).
